Today has been a good day. The sun it out, and it is not too hot or cold. I had plenty to do outside, and I got everything done I set out to do. Yes, there is always more to do, but I am satisfied. The only thing left for me to do is finish chapter twenty in the next book. I always cherish the good days spent outside doing something productive instead of something fake that does not really matter.
The Amanai Deception has only been out for a few days, and I am already writing chapter 20 on The Amanai Resolution. That milestone might seem impressive, but I assure you, it is not. There has been no editing, and I have not gone back and revised any of the early chapters. The story is mapped out. All I have to do is write it. Well, then revise, edit, modify, and edit it two more time. My goal is to have it done and published by the end of summer. I am just praying for calm seas this summer.
Saying this weekend was rough is a bit unfair. It was a good weekend, but it was packed full. Most importantly (to this site anyways) was the completion and publication of The Amanai Deception. That was huge for me. The school work was time consuming. Two short papers and reading a chapter takes a toll on my mental abilities. I even had time to build and install a rain catching system for the cows. I just have to run pipe to finish that up. I cannot forget the movie with the family. It was definitely not my first choice, but it is the family time that matters most. Here’s hoping this week is much better than last week’s cluster.
The final editing on The Amanai Deception is finally done! I am not using any type of emphasis on the word finally as it was a long road. The editors did an amazing job and caught way more mistakes than I would like to admit making. Editing was done weeks ago, but it took me this long to find time to implement the changes. The new version should be available on Amazon and the Kindle very shortly.
It has been longer than I would have liked since my last update. Who would have thought that working full time, going to school full time, raising two kids, finishing a basement, and sleeping would take up so much time? Well… sleep has been a minimum as of late. The basement is almost done which is great, yet terrifying. I am happy beyond words that it will be done, but I am scared out of my mind at the final bill. I hope that once this basement is done, I can more effectively work on school so I can finish he third book. I am not sure that will be the case as the beer fridge is also in the basement with my new office. Hmmmm…. maybe I should have thought about that earlier. If the next books seems like a drunkard wrote it, it is probably because it is true.
